What’s it like being Swiss?
When you show your red passport before you’re about to get stripped / your bag searched, airport officials tend to let you go. No one ever suspects the Swiss.
What’s it like being Filipino?
You belong to a rich culture in a country composed of thousands of islands. Whenever you meet up with other Filipinos you get to eat a lot of food, usually pork. You look like a Paul Gauguin painting and people can’t help but stare. Then they ask if you’re from Thailand…
Don’t you know the term Flip is derogatory? You’re a bad person!
I could go on, saying how in this sense it is not meant to be offensive, but I would just be wasting my breath. You will probably believe what you want to believe. Stop being the thought police.
Do you like zombies?There are only two ways I like zombies:
- I turned into a necromancer and have amassed an undead army with my awesome powers. They do my bidding, like getting me a can of coke from the fridge or cleaning my windows.

What was your childhood like?
Good stuff:
My parents loved me. I had a little brother to boss around, but I really adored. Most weekends were spent at the beach. A family that kept you on your toes. Excellent education. So much travelling and so many cultures.
Bad stuff:
Lived in large compounds, not allowed to walk the street, not allowed to take public transport. Religion everywhere. Brown people calling you white, white people calling you brown. Ancestors who have achieved so much…no pressure. Sometimes feeling lonely for company besides that of family. Not knowing your own mind.

I like to paint on massive canvases. I enjoy pottering around in my garden, growing roses and vegetables. When I knit, I can’t do the English style, only Continental. My little finger is crooked. I like listening to Opera and am fond of Musicals. I’m stalking Rammstein to find out when they’re next gig is. I love museums. I enjoy fashion and luxuries. I love body art and have currently two tattoos. I want my own library or at least a room with nothing in it, but a comfy chair and walls full of books. I like wearing glasses. I enjoy a half a cup of tea with milk and sugar. I like my coffee black and sweet. I have a fear of heights and enjoy scaring myself shitless by scrambling up mountain peaks. I am a fellwalker. I also windsurf. I love the beach. It is my home.
